The Egyptian pound is divided into 100 piastres. Every banknote in Egypt has two faces, one in Arabic and usually has pictures of a well known mosque in Egypt and the other face is in English and has pictures of ancient Egyptian figures, statues or generally monuments.

In Egypt's north eastern corner the Suez Canal connects the Mediterranean and Red Sea's. The Suez Canal allows ships to travel from Europe to the Far East without having to go around the African continent.

Egypt exports cotton, rice, corn, wheat, beans, fruits, vegetables; cattle, water buffalo, sheep, goats worldwide.
In ancient times Egypt was the centre of learning in the near east, and transferred it's learning to Greece and Italy, the root of our culture.
